In times of global danger, regional conflicts, terrorism and violence, growing social antagonism and the break up of traditional morals, it is very important to reward those generous people who give of themselves to serve their fellow men.

In all times, different cultures hold in high esteem people who act with a kind and responsive "golden" heart, people who care and are willing to help those who need consolation and support.

The Russian Orthodox Church realizes the importance and the complications of your work and supports your efforts to consolidate the good will of people all around the world. Today, we are all being called upon to realize the immediacy of consolidating the efforts of the international community in order to preserve people's moral and physical health and to maintain security and stability, peace and social consensus.
